Eternal Son
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
Though Christ the Son is eternal it does not necessarily mean that He was Son from eternity past.
The fact that Christ is eternal demonstrates that He is equal with the Father and does not depend on the Father for his existence unless you believe in eternal generation like the Catholics do.
