John1:1-3  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

John1:14  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,

John 18:4 Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?

John 18:5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.

John 18:6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

Please note that “he” is not in the original Greek and is italicized to indicate that it was supplied by the translators. Therefore, what Jesus really said here was “I AM,” therefore making it another declaration of his Godhood (see Exodus 3:14 and under John 8:58).

Jesus Christ again makes it clear He is the I AM. Merely speaking the words made those present to fall over.

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Luke 4:1  And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

Luke 4:2  Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.

 Luke 4:12  And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Luke 4:13  And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

Nowhere in all these verses does it mention that the Father or anyone else was being tempted.

In fact verses 1 and 2 identifies Who was being tempted. Jesus was being tempted to jump.

It is evident from the above that Jesus THE LORD THY GOD was being tempted.

The following also confirms who “the Lord thy God” is

Exodus 20:10  But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God:

Mark 2:28  Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

It was Christ (Jehovah) who created the heavens and the Earth and rested on the seventh day which He blessed, hallowed and sanctified: therefore making Himself the Lord of the sabbath. (The LORD thy God)

CHRIST THE ROCK

1 Corinthians 10:4   And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Here is the connecting evidence that God the Rock was Christ

Psalm 62:5   My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation [is] from him.

  62:6   He only [is] my rock and my salvation: [he is] my defence; I shall not be moved.

1 Samuel  2:2   [There is] none holy as the LORD: for [there is] none beside thee: neither [is there] any rock like our God.

2 Samuel  22:2   And he said, The LORD [is] my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;

Psalm 18:2   The LORD [is] my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, [and] my high tower.

Psalm  28:1    Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, [if] thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

DANIEL 9:9 To the Lord our God {belong} mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;

LUKE 5:21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?

With

LUKE 5:20 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.

MARK 2:5-10 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. (6) But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, (7) Why doth this {man} thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?

Matthew 26:63  But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

Matthew 26:64  Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Matthew 26:65  Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy;

(The high priest understood Jesus’ claim to be God and wrongly accused Him of blasphemy.)

Blasphemy is committed against God.

Here is irrefutable proof that Jesus is Jehovah the Almighty.

Revelation 1:8  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty

Here it states that the Alpha and the Omega is the Almighty.

Revelation 1:11  Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last:

Now it states that the Alpha and the Omega  is the first and the last:

Revelation 1:17  And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

Revelation 1:18  I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Now it states that “the first and the last” was living, then dead, and now alive for evermore clearly referring to Jesus.

Isaiah 44:6  So says Jehovah, the King of Israel, and His redeemer Jehovah of Hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and besides Me there is no God.

And here it says that the first and the last is God only.

It is easy to see that “the first and the last”, “Alpha and Omega”, “the Almighty”, and Jehovah are one and the same person JESUS

Isaiah 42:8  I am the LORD (Jehovah): that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

John 17:5  And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

John1:3  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

The statement “All things were made by him” is an incredible statement to make of the Christ the Word.  There was nothing in the created order that was not made by Him. John could not have made a stronger statement that Christ was the Creator God.

The Bible plainly tells us that only God was involved in creation.

Isaiah 44:24  Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb,  am the LORD (Jehovah) that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;

Job 9:8  Which alone spreadeth out the heavens[/u], and treadeth upon the waves of the sea.

Hebrews 3:4  For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God

Here Christ is the Creator

Colossians 1: 15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

God alone created, so Christ is God.
