Strain at gnat, swallow a camel

Matthew 23:24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

To focus on something that is ambiguous, open to more than one interpretation; not having one obvious meaning. and then disregarding something that is evident.

Trying to find loophole or creating contradictions while ignoring the obvious.

An argument that is built on flawed reasoning

Nitpicking about trifles while ignoring the obvious. Jesus’ message is clear about being selective about truth; majoring on minors while neglecting the majors. Gnat-straining and camel swallowing.

So, instead of humbly embracing the truth, they instead focuses on the little details and ignoring the big picture, Seeking for an escape hatch in falsehood.

You are kidding yourself by denying the truth.  Straining at a gnat and swallowing a camel.

Playing word games and focusing on something that is ambiguous, open to more than one interpretation; not having one obvious meaning. and then disregarding something that is irrefutable. Trying to find loophole or create contradictions while ignoring the obvious.

You’re focussing on those verses which do mention the Holy Spirit. Following your logic God is not real because the Bible does not mention God in every verse…

Your argument is just illlogical. You can’t have any topic, thing, person or God mentioned in every verse. Its impossible. It’s called being selective about truth that suits you. Bias.
