Head of Christ is God.1 Cor 11-3 Father is Greater

It is saying that the same way Christ submitted to God during His incarnation, likewise the woman is to submit to the man and we are to submit to Christ.

Philippians 2:6-8 KJV Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: [7] But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: [8] And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Christ humbled Himself from the position of one equal with God to that of a servant. {FE 142.2}

When Jesus said that the Father is greater than Him. Christ is less than the Father in his humanity but equal to God in his divinity.

But although Christ’s divine glory was for a time veiled and eclipsed by His assuming humanity, yet He did not cease to be God when He became man. The human did not take the playuuce iiof the divine, nor the divine of the human. This is the mystery of godliness. The two expressions “human” and “divine” were, in Christ, closely and inseparably one, and yet they had a distinct individuality.    {5BC 1129.3}
