“And God (Elohiym) said, Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness.”(Gen 1:26)
“And the LORD God (Elohiym) said, Behold, the man has become as one of US, to know good and evil:” (Gen 3:22) (US referring to God is plural)
The word God is translated from the Hebrew word “Elohiym” which is a plural intensive word.
Notice also the plurality of God in the following
“Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, so that they cannot understand one another’s speech.”(Gen 11:7)
“And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?”(Isa 6:8)
Scripture clearly shows that there is more than one being, entity, or person in the Godhead. This, along with other Scriptures, is the foundation of the Godhead Doctrine. The concept of only God the Father is clearly in opposition to the above verses. Unless, of course, you want to believe that the Father talks to himself and sends himself on a mission!!!
